Order of Australia medal (OAM)

In the Queens Birthday Honours list in 2006 I was awarded an Order of Australia medal (OAM) which is the equivalent of an MBE in UK honours. The award was

“For service to sports medicine, particularly through the Australasian College of Sports Physicians, and as a medical adviser for sporting organisations”

The award was presented at a ceremony at Government House in Melbourne by the Governor of Victoria Professor David de Kretser. 

ACSM Citation Award

In 2000 I was awarded a Citation Award by the Ameican Colege of Sports Medicine at their Annual Dinner in Indianapolis. 

ACSP Citation for Distinguished Service

In 1996 I was the first recipient of the Citation for Distinguished Service of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians
